The Birds 

Beginning: Nat Hoken is a farmer, but he did not work full- time at the farm. He worked three days a week, and they gave him a lighter jobs. He was married with children, and he did not enjoy the company of others so he work alone. 

He used to watch the birds on work, flying everywhere. Winter was coming, and a lot of birds without a place to keep them worm will die. The birds had been more restless than ever this year, and there was a lot more than others years. 

One night Nat was in home, and suddenly he felt the cold wind through the chimney. In the middle of the night Nat heard the tapping on the window, he got out of bed and went to the window, as he opened it he felt something brushed against his hand, cutting the skin, then the bird was gone, over the roof. The same thing happened again but this time there was more than just one bird.. they attacked Nat, he shouted, hitting them with his arms and like the first one they flew over the roof and disappeared.. suddenly a frightened cry came from the children's room, it was Jill, then the little one started to cry too, Nat ran into their room and started to fight with the birds, the window was wide open, after fighting for a long time he felt that the beating of the wings around him stopped and while he was listening he realized that there was no birds anymore. 

Middle: After all this situation, Nat started to get worried.. he told people about the birds but no one believed him. Nat tried to bury the birds that was lying on the bedroom's floor, in the beach, but he can't because of the cold and strong wind. In that moment, he saw a lot of gulls flying over the sea, there was so many gulls. Nat went to his home, and listened on the radio that this was happening all over the country. After what happened, Nat decided to work hard all the morning and boarded the bedroom's windows, filled up the bottoms of the chimneys and fixed boards across the kitchens window. 

Then Nat realized that if that was going to keep on happening, they would need food and things to keep the fire on. When he looked up to the sky saw that the sky was dark, like the day before.. the sky was dark because there was only birds, so he thought that the birds would attack again, they needed to be inside the house before that happen but Jill was on school.. so he walk to the bus stop to take her home. While he was waiting for Jill he saw that there was more birds in the sky, so when Jill arrived he told her to go home quickly. The farmer gave a lift to Jill and Nate was walking behind them 'cause the car was full.. when he was close of his house birds started to attack him, they cut him, he had blood on his face, hands and neck. He arrived home and locked the doors. The birds started to attack again. 

Ending: Nate knew that he was going to need food and things to keep the fire on, so when the sun started to shine he left the house and went to the farm to take some food. He saw the farmer, lying on the floor, dead.. there was nothing Nate can do, he had no time, so he took the food and went home. He never said anything about Trigg (the farmer) he did not wanted to frighten his family. Once they had the provisions they locked the doors and stayed in home all the night. His wife turned on the radio but no sound came from it. So there they were.. waiting for salvation, being attacked for birds, understanding that the birds were having a revenge, killing people like people kill birds-

Hilary's Aunt 

Beginning: Hilary Smith belonged to a good family. Hilary had some trouble with the bank about a few checks, so he was sent off to Australia immediately. He did not like Australia, and Australia did not like Hilary, so he took the earliest opportunity of returning to England. He did not had much money, so he had to wait until his father and brother died. After his father and brother died he received all the money which belonged to the good family. 

Middle: Hilary soon spent the money, so he had two options.. die or work, but suddenly he remembered that he had an aunt. Hilary discovered his aunt's address by talking to the family lawyer. He go to Aunt's house to visit her, he had only sixpence in his pocket at the time. He realized that his Aunt was very sick, so he felt so sad and very annoyed. He was going to be alone again in the world. After a few months passed, Hilary's financial problems became serious. He needed aunt's money really bad. Mary's will was made when she was a 21 year girl. Hilary wanted the money so he recommended to make a new will.. but he didn't knew if that will would be positive for him or negative so he double the amount and make his aunt sleep because he did not wanted her to make a new will 'cause he knew that if she does not the money would be yours. Hilary just put her to sleep.

Ending: When the old servant leaved the house, Hilary add more medicine to the glass of water, that was a perfect plan for him to do. The old woman realized that Hilary was trying to kill her for the money, so before she drink the medicine told him that if she was going to die this time, all the money was going to China but if she don't he will have all the money.. Hilary tried to take the glass away but she did not wanted to.. so she drank the medicine and died. 

Hilary was a selfish person, cold and he didn't cared about the others.. he only wanted to spend money in silly things, he wanted a reach life. He was stupid, he should not do this to his aunt.. she was family, that happened to him because he was an ugly person. 

Hahaha i thought that "Hilary" was a woman's name, it was really difficult for me to finally realize that Hilary was a man y had to read it like four times haha

The ugly American & the ugly Sarkhanese

Homer Atkins: Homer was an intelligent man, he was very creative and smart. He always had a new good idea for everything, with a peace of paper and a pencil he could create great things. Homer is an ugly man, is married with Emma. First, he start being a sad man 'cause he couldn't express those ideas, he felt locked somehow, until the ambassador give's him a new homework. Homer had to create pump's 'cause people needed water and the way they was getting it was very difficult. So Homer created pump's, it was not too easy for him, he needed to create pump's without buying things so his wife, Emma, helped Homer, she told him to use bicycles, old bicycles. That's was a great idea, but he needed some smart people to work with him, that's when he met Jeepo. First, pumps was not working so Jeepo's had a great new idea, and this way they make the machine work. While they was creating this machine, Jeepo and Homer passed a lot of emotions they felt sad 'cause the machine was not working, they felt stressed because they needed a new way to make the machine work's but they didn't had any useful idea, then they finally make the machine work's so they felt happy, so happy and joyful. 


Emma Atkins: She was ugly like her husband. She was very creative too, she loved to watch people and things, and create but she was not like Homer, she preferred to decorate her house and clean and cook, she was an woman's house. Homer and Emma loved each other, so.. she was always with Homer trying to help in anything she could. First she was worried about Homer's project but then she knew that he was so smart that in any moment he would find the way to make the machine work, she felt proud all the time 'cause she knew Homer could make it, so he did and she helped him cooking to the people that was working on that project with her husband, she and other woman. 

The mand and the others: This people don't use to trust in others, they are way too different. At first they did not believed in Homer, they thought that he could never make it and Jeepo's was going to work so much more than Homer but they were wrong; The man thought that the plan would not work but it did, so he and the others started to trust more in Homer.. and when they saw that Jepoo's trusted in him they did too. 

Jeepo: Jeepo is a Sarkhanese boy, he is ugly like Homer, but he is strong and smart too. Jeepo helped so much to Homer, in fact Jeepo was who ended the plan and make it work better and cheaper. From the first moment Jeepo and Homer liked each other, they knew that they were good people with good intentions. Jeepo felt worried and a little sad, he was sure that the people were not going to use this machine, because they used to make things in a simply way they would see this machine like something they were not prepared to use.. so Jeepo make that machine more simple. He and Homer were a great team, that's why the machine finally worked. With that plan done, he felt so happy too. 

It happened near a lake 

Beginning:  The story is about an old couple, Mr. Beaseley and Mrs. Beaseley (María). They had a boring and normal life, with a normal job and a normal house in Buenos Aires. Mr. Beaseley used to wake up every morning wishing that something interesting happen to his life. Suddenly, one morning he received a long envelope from a lawyer, saying that somebody has died and this one just left him a four thousand dollars. 

Middle: María was a city woman, she just hated forests and farms and animals. She wanted to but (with the four thousand dollars) a flat on New York city and a small house in Miami, but Mr. Beaseley was way too different.. He wanted to travel around the world and spend his money traveling. He tried to give to Maria the half of the money so they can do whatever they wanted to but Maria just didn't wanted to leave him alone, so she decided to go with him. 

She traveled with her husband, but she wasn't happy, so she was complaining all the time, trying to convince Mr. Beaseley to go to Miami, but she can't. Mr. Beaseley met a Portuguese Doctor in the Hotel, they started to talk about animals so the Doctor offered to Mr. Beaseley to go to the lake to see the strangest creature he could ever see. Mr. Beaseley accepted happily because he always loved that kind of things. They traveled all together, Maria wasn't happy with it, so she was mean with the Doctor. 

Ending: They spent a day watching the lake and waiting for the strange creature to appear but the day ended and the creature didn't showed any sign. 

The team decided to go to sleep. In the morning, Maria woke up early, mad, and decided to take a walk to take some fruits for breakfast. Near the lake she saw footprints so she picked up a small branch and she started to brush the footprints.. Because she wanted to leave and she knew that if her husband could found these footprints he will stay until the creature appears. She was brushing until she was beside the lake, when she turned around to go back with her husband, the creature goes out the lake and catch her.. She screamed and cried but no one ever heard her. People hated to hear Maria's voice, because she was complaining all the time. 

Later, Mr. Beaseley saw that she was not beside him, so he decided to look for her. Mr. Beaseley walks until he was near the lake, he saw footprints of Maria's feet, but he thought that she was gone.. Because she was saying all the time that she was going to leave in any moment, so he believed it. Mr. Beaseley thought that his wife leaved.. so he decided to go around the world with his new friend, the Portuguese Doctor.

The blind man by D.H. Laurence

In the story appears three characters: 

• Isabel: She is the wife of Maurice (the blind man). Isabel is not a truly happy woman, she is worried about her husband and while she try to make him happy she can't see how unhappy she is.. she's pregnant and thats why she is a little bit more sensitive.. good woman, gets worry about everything. Isabel love's his husband.. but she also have feelings for Bertie too, she always saw him as her future husband but things went different's. 
• Maurice: He is Isabel's husband. Maurice love's way too much Isabel, and he's a little bit scared about loosing her. Is a good man, who feel a little sad and helpless because he is blind. He was a soldier. Isabel and Maurice lives in a farm. Because of his lost, he feel like he is less than the others.. he needs to be accepted by the people who moves around him. 
• Bertie: He is Isabel's best friend. Bertie is a important lawyer, he have money and he's not married because he is afraid of being used by some woman and the fact of not being married make's him a little sad. He is smart, a little dark man, with very big forehead, thin hair, he have strange long legs and a sad large eyes. He like's Isabel but just like a friend. At first, he had pity for Maurice but after Maurice touche's his face and act rare he started to feel scared and the only thing he wished was escaping from Maurice. 

"The Dream" by Frank Tilsley

The dream occurs in the South of France, on the way back from Italy, while Frank Tilsley was driving with his family. (Wife and children)

In the dream, the man was sitting in a big, powerful, cream -  coloured car, and he was driving at high speed through the country. He was coming to a bend in the road, and in front of him there was a very large lorry. His foot reached out towards the brake, but it could not find it. He looked down: there was no brake! Worse: his hands held empty air. There was no wheel for them to hold. There were no controls of any kind. Already they were almost into the back of the lorry. He shouted in fear. The he heard a calm voice coming from his left, and he turned his head. A stranger was siting there. This one, was a cheerful man of about forty. That man was wearing an expensive shirt, and on his head he had a red hat. The dreamer couldnt understand what he said; he spoke very quickly in French, and his own French isnt very good. His eyes were on his clean, fat hands, which were holding the wheel. This car had its wheel on the left. They drove safely round the bend. He turned the wheel slightly to place the car in the middle of the road. He was goin to pass the lorry. The road stretched straight ahead. It was bright  in the sunlight and it was quite empty. Only one other person was in the sight; a woman was sitting outside a small house with  white walls, and this house was almost exactly ahead of them. She was sitting by a table putting some flowers in posts. She wanted to sell them some, and waved then at them. The sight for some reason, filled the dreamer with a terrible fear. The flowers made him think of death and their final resting place. At this moment they were level with the lorry and ready to pass it, but then the lorry began to turn away from the side of the road, towards their car. It appeared that the driver was doing this on purpose. The stranger by my side shouted loudly and tried to move out of the way. There was a terrible noise from the back of the car, and then and explosion. The earth seemed to turn over, and the noise of the flames burned in his ears. At that point he woke up in fear.

The dreamer was worried by this dream, and he couldnt sleep again. He wanted to know the reason of the dream.. thinking about that reason he remembered a moment in his life. Two years ago, he was traveling in north of England. An american and him were making some radio programmes. He had bought his car from America, and of course the driver sat on the left side. The brakes and the other controls were also on the left, but the colour of his car was not cream.. also, he remembered about the game the American used to play "the chicken" (it is a play that is played on the road), the dreamer hated that game so they never played it again.. but the remembered that this day, when they played "the chicken" the American bought a hat..but it was not a red hat, it was a black hat. 

He was trying to connect the dream with things already happened. 

On the way back home from Italy, while he was driving.. the things in the dream started to happen to him. He remembered everything of the dream so he changed the facts and saved his life, and the life of his family. 

Is like his mind mixed things that happened with fears and the future.

Chapter 6: Poltergeist

Chapter 6, narrates a few stories about ghost and paranormal facts. 

I've chosen the Poltergeist story, 'cause I saw the movie just a week ago. While I was looking for the movie, to watch it on internet, I've found a page. In that page, I've read the true story about the movie I was going to watch. So.. as I said, I'll post this true story today on my blog. 

The story is about a family, that bought a house built on a cemetery. When the family started living in there, strange things started to happen. At first, everything started with the littlest girl in the family. That suddenly started to talk with the closet, and then with the t.v. When her family saw this the don't worried too much, they had economic problems so they were focused on that. 

One night the parents of the kids went out and the kids (Robbie, Carol and Dana. Dana was the biggest). Dana was in charge of the kids that night. Everything was going just fine, until the floor brakes and from the deeper of the ground goes out a hand of a dead person and takes Dana, trying to take her into the deeper. 

In this moment a portal opens up into the closet and the little girl (Carol) enter into that unknown world. When Robbie tried to help her the three outside just take him from the legs and drag him outside.

When the parents back they saw the kid hanging from the three, screaming!. When the kids (Robbie and Dana) told her parents what happened they decided to call and ask for help to a seer. And after trying a lot of times they finally rescue Carol and finished with the course. 

A lot of people say that this story is so real and other ones just don't believe in that story.

There's two films about that story. Both were called "Poltergeist". 

The first one was filmed in 1982 and the second one was filmed in 2015). I, also, saw the movie and I recommend it. 

People relation this with a course, because while the cast was filming the first movie, in 1982, the most important actors just died.. and died in the most weird way possible. It may, is true.. the cast that survived, also, said that while they were filming the movie heard strange noises and things just moved to different places. 

What "Poltergeist" means? "Poltergeist" comes from German and means "noisy ghost".

Title: "Mysteries of the unexplained" by Kathy Burke
Chapter: 5 "Mind and body"

In this chapter we have another mysterious thing. Do you believe in the power of minds? Do you think that is possible that your mind have the power enough to move, brake, change the shape of things and more?. Is hard to believe, but, I think that we've got too much proves to believe in that. 

In this chapter we found cases like the case of; 

 Uri Galler: Who used the power of his mind to change the shape of metal things; like spoons, forks and keys

.


Michel Nostradame: Who at first had great skills as a doctor. He saved a lot of people, but, he couldn't save to his wife and children. He wasn't only a doctor, he was a seer too. With this power he predicted a lot of important things.

There's common people who have dreams and what happen in the dream, then happen in the real life; people that suddenly start burning for no reason, and are burnt to death very quickly; people that walks on fire and simply don't burn his feet; people that have a light in the body while they sleep; and people that lift themselves off the ground and stay in the air with no help (most reports are about religious people)

So, that's all.. if we read the bible we gonna find crazy things like this haha

Chapter: 4 "Ancient worlds" 


In chapter number 4 we found mysteries again, but this mysteries are a little bit different. In here we start wondering things again, 'cause that kind of things are just unexplained. Every theory we've got just don't fix.. at least we think in aliens, personally, I think that in those years only aliens have the power to do this. At the end of the chapter, I found myself just affirming that a human weren't and aren't able to do that kind of things.. just aliens. 

We know that the human weren't so intelligent long long years ago. We know that humanity just evolution every year but in the beginning the humans were primitive. We are smarter now, and we've got tools to get smarter. With all the technology we have, with all intelligent brains we still couldn't do the things that name the text, like the stonehenge, the easter Island statue, pyramids, the great sphinx, etc. To create that kind of things, now, we need the smarter people in the world.. and the correct machines. 

We think, is it possible? Is it real?, well, I think is not possible.. I think that just aliens had the tools to create this and the intelligence. For example, the stonehenge was used like a giant computer to make predictions from the position of the sun, moon, and stars.. I mean, anything have any sense, only fix if you think about aliens. 

Another mystery is the Island in the Atlantic Ocean, called "Atlantis". As we know it was a beautiful place, the people were intelligent and the kind and queen heal great power in Europe and Africa. The city disappeared under the sea; And the Nazca lines, as we see the Nazca lines, we wonder why are they so large? How could the Nazca people make perfect shapes like these when they couldn't see them from the ground? I've got the answer.. ALIENS! hahaha.
We don't know what the Nazca lines means, but we think that were used to predict the weather.. other people think that have a religious meaning but aliens don't have gods hahaha

Chapter: 3 "Mysterious Monsters" 


Hi! In chapter number 3 we start seeing some different things.. I mean, this chapter is not about aliens, this chapter is about monsters! I know..it sounds very scary and it is haha! 

So, we've got different kind of monsters, they live in the ocean but also they live in earth with us too!
The Loch Ness monster is one of the most famous monsters in the world. The first description we have about "Nessy" was more than 400 years ago, yes! that's a lot of time. No one has proved that "Nessy" really lives in Loch Nes, but some people took good photos and they affirm that the monster is real. Since 1930, a lot of people have reported seeing that large, black, with long neck animal moving up and down. People have broken or lost their cameras and important photos.. that's part of the mystery too. 
You know?, people feel that the sea monsters are the most frightening of all monsters, and I include myself hahaha. Sea monsters are not only in films and books, that's the worst part and scary thing haha. And, people have discovered real monsters in the seas and oceans. These are often more frightening than a monster from a story. Like the "Giant Squad" and "The Globster", this two are big, so so big, and scary monsters, no one is brave enough to get close and take photographs.. but they are definitely real!!.
And.. finally, we've got the monsters that lives in the earth, with us haha just kidding! That kind of monster lives in mountains and wild areas, so far away from us. They are "half man and half animal". Like Yeti, people described them as very tall, with hair all over it's body. The Yeti is dangerous, it can attack people. Most people have seen signs of the Yeti in the snow. There's Bigfoot too, he is like the American Yeti, descriptions are similar to descriptions of Yeti.

Chapter: 2 "Strange disappearances"

In chapter  number 2 of "Mysteries of the unexplained" we met again with crazy stories, a little hard to believe. This time we find crazy stories about aliens, but here people is disappeared and abducted bye them. 

The first disappearance happened in 1945, in the Bermuda triangle. Here, one day, on December 1945, five military planes were flying near the coast of Florida and suddenly the don't know where they were and call to the station informing what was happening until the phone went dead. The planes were never seen again. A few years ago (on June 1936 in the Bermuda triangle) Martin Caidin was flying through a clear blue sky and suddenly the sky became very cloudy. Then it changed to bright yellow, so bright that Martin couldn't see anything. He just saw two holes in the sky.. in one hole he could see the ocen and in the other one the blue sky. Caidin stayed calm and flew the plane for hours until he got back to the blue sky. He looked back but he did not see anything, just the blue sky. 
Now, in the story of the ship "the Mary Celeste", people disappear!. The ship left New York on November 1872 and was located by "the Dei Gratia" (a British ship)  on December 5. The Dei Gratia sailed near to the Mary but the found an empty ship. Food, equipment and clothes were all still there.. but no people. 
We've got ordinary disappearances too, in normal places, like the disappearance of David Lang. He was abducted in front of his family. He was across a field towards them waving "hello" and suddenly he was gone. The area was searched for months but nothing was found. 
Seven months later, their daughter heard her father crying for help. She found a circle of dead grass in the place where he was seen for the last time. Mrs. Lang decided to move her family to another town. And the disappearance of the three little kids that were playing in a field and suddenly just disappear. After search for the kids for days, the appear in a farm, lying asleep on the ground. The children were clean, and they weren't hungry or frightened, they just did not remember anything.

Title: Mysteries of the unexplained by Kathy BurkeChapter: 1 "Other worlds"

In chapter 1 of "Mysteries of the unexplained", we found crazy stories. These stories were narrated by different people, almost the same things happened to all. This chapter is about Aliens.
In the stories number 1 and 2 appears a silver ball covered with fire, with two little men. In Zamora's story (story n. 1)

, those little men just leave in peace but in the story number 2 those little man attacked to Maurice with a long stick, leaving him paralyzed and lying on the floor. 
In the story number 3 appears two little brothers in England. They were completely green and lost. The little boy died and the little girl survived. This little girl at first ate just vegetables and then she started to eat normal food. Then, she learned to talk and told to the doctor that in her world all the people were green, and that one day the son became brighter and the temperature changed.. after that she fell asleep and woke up in this new place.
In the story number 4 William, after a terrible storm, decided to check his farm. While he was checking his fields, he found many pieces of metal, he thought that those piece were from a plane crash so he called the police, and the police took those pieces to the military. They discover that this metal wasn't from earth. Then, the military reported this to the radio station. People were very interest and started to visit the crash area. After that the military said that this metal wasn't from a UFO, it was from a military plane. People didn't believed in this stories, they also think that  the military base is hiding information from then.
And in the last story, we see three more shorter stories. In the first one, a couple were driving home, and they saw that a yellow light. It followed then until they stopped the car. A few minutes later, Mr. Hill started driving again. Then they suddenly felt very tired. They woke up and hour later in a different place. After that, Mrs. and Mr. Hills had terrible dreams about aliens. Slowly they started to remember what happened, they were taken onto the UFO by aliens. They, also gave to the doctors information about the position of the different stars.
Then we've got the Travis story, that he was taken by the aliens. This guy was found five days later , he couldn't remember anything. He was much thinner and his arm was cut. And, finally, the story of an unknown woman that reported to the police, that she saw a woman flying in the sky with aliens.. and then, that aliens took her up into a UFO and the UFO quickly flew away.
